Serious Motor Vehicle Crash - Glen Burnie

On September 8, 2026, at approximately 10:35 p.m., Eastern District officers responded to Northbound Route 100 and Route 10 for a single-vehicle crash. Once on the scene, the Crash Reconstruction Team was requested. A preliminary investigation found that a 2018 Audi sedan was traveling northbound on Route 100 and failed to negotiate the curve at the merge onto Route 10 when it struck a guardrail on the driver’s side of the vehicle. He continued out of control on Route 100, drove through the guardrail on the opposite side of the roadway, and then struck a light pole. The vehicle caught fire, and witnesses pulled the operator out. The Anne Arundel County Fire Department responded to the scene and transported the driver to an area hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
The Anne Arundel County Police Crash Reconstruction Team will be handling the investigation.
