Guidelines for All Parties and their Counsel
The efficient operation of hearings before the Anne Arundel County Board of Appeals is in the best interests of all parties and the public. Accordingly, this Board is providing this list of Additional Guidelines that will be followed during all hearings.
- All parties must bring at least 12 copies of any exhibit, including written reports of experts that the party wishes to be considered by the Board.
- All parties and their counsel are expected to move their cases efficiently and quickly
- Efforts by any party to delay or slow hearings will not be tolerated
- No irrelevant or duplicative testimony or evidence will be permitted
- No irrelevant or duplicative cross-examination of witnesses will be permitted
- Parties and their counsel will be asked to provide time estimates for their hearings. These time estimates must include time expected to be used for cross examination. Parties and their counsel will be held to the time estimates provided.
- Expert testimony presented before the Board must include a written report of the expert together with an executive summary of the report.
