Commercial Robbery - Severn

On August 10, 2026, at approximately 2:15 a.m., Western District officers responded to a robbery of the Royal Farms store located in the 7800 block of Telegraph Road in Severn. Upon arrival, officers learned a male suspect entered the business and demanded tobacco products and money while armed with a knife. The suspect then proceeded to gather tobacco products and fled the business on foot. Detectives assigned to the Regional Crimes Unit are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-4730. Suspect: White male, wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, black pants, gray shoes and a gray towel or t-shirt face covering.
Western District
Shots Fired / Barricade - Severn

On August 9, 2026, at 9:20 p.m., Western District officers were called to the 1800 block of Severn Hills Lane in Severn for a report of shots fired. Arriving officers learned a suspect in a pickup truck shot at a vehicle exiting the community. Officers began investigating and later located the suspect vehicle in the driveway at a residence in the 1800 block of Severn Hills Lane. A perimeter was established around the house. Members of the Quick Response Team responded to attempt to get the suspect to exit the residence. He was eventually taken into custody and charged accordingly.
