Anne Arundel County Police Announce Arrest of Regional Burglary Suspects
Investigation led by the AACOPD Western District Detective Unit and Regional Crime Unit
Multiple suspects have been arrested in connection with a series of commercial burglaries across the region.
The group is linked to dozens of incidents across several jurisdictions, including more than a dozen overnight commercial burglaries in Anne Arundel County between February 2026 and April 2026. In most cases, the suspects forced entry into businesses and targeted money.
Through a joint investigation with regional law enforcement partners, officers identified and located the suspects while they attempted to carry out a burglary in Howard County. Officers coordinated enforcement action and took all six suspects into custody in Columbia.
These arrests are believed to have ended a string of dozens of commercial burglaries over the past three months. The investigation remains ongoing as detectives work with partner agencies to identify additional cases.
The suspects are identified as Isaac Anderson, 21, of Washington, D.C.; Alphonso Wilson, 20, of Washington, D.C.; Zevian Jones, 21, of Washington, D.C.; Damari Day, 23, of Capitol Heights; Roderick Thomas, 21, of Suitland; and a 17-year-old male from Washington D.C. The adult suspects face multiple counts of burglary, theft, and destruction of property across several jurisdictions and are being held at the Howard County Detention Center without bond.

Stolen Auto/Handgun Violation Arrest - Severn

On April 28, 2026, at approximately 6:45 p.m., officers received an alert from the automated license plate reader system of a stolen vehicle, a blue Dodge Journey, in the area of Reece Road and Telegraph Road in Severn. An officer located the vehicle, confirmed the vehicle was stolen, and arrested the driver and passenger. The passenger was charged with the unlawful possession of a loaded Glock 9mm handgun.

Shooting (Contact) - Severn

On April 29, 2026, at approximately 1:00 a.m., officers responded to the area of Myers Drive and Hyde Park Drive in Severn for a report of gunshots fired at an occupied white Toyota. All parties involved were no longer on scene when officers arrived. Responding officers canvassed the area and located several shell casings in the roadway. A residence in the 7900 block of Covington Avenue was struck by a projectile, which shattered the rear sliding glass door. No injuries were reported. At approximately 2:10 a.m., officers responded to the Anne Arundel Medical Center for a report of an individual with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to an extremity. Upon interviewing the victim, officers determined this was related to the incident in Severn. Search Warrant/Firearms/CDS Arrests- Laurel

On April 29, 2026, detectives assigned to the Western District were assisting in executing a search warrant at a residence in the 200 block of Jill Lane in Laurel. During the search of the residence, officers recovered multiple firearms and CDS from the residence. The suspects were arrested and charged, and the following items were seized:
- Glock 30, .40 caliber handgun (Stolen)
- Glock 19, 9mm handgun
- Glock 22, .40 caliber handgun
- Glock 23, .40 caliber handgun
- Polymer 80, 9mm handgun with no serial number
- Suspected Cannabis- Approximately 1,903.88 grams
- Suspected Fentanyl- Approximately 6.86 grams
- Suspected Promethazine- 4 bottles
- Suspected Oxycodone- 11 pills
- 4 digital scales with suspected CDS residue
