Assault / Weapons Offense – Severn

On March 26, 2026, at approximately 11:15 p.m., Western District officers responded to the 8000 block of Quarterfield Road in Severn for a reported physical disturbance involving a firearm. Officers learned a group was gathered for a bonfire when the suspect arrived unannounced, initiated a verbal dispute, and escalated it into a physical altercation. The suspect then retrieved a handgun from his vehicle, pointed it at the victim, and fled before officers arrived.
Through investigative efforts, the suspect and his vehicle were located at his residence. With assistance from K9 and drone operators, Northern and Western officers established a perimeter, and the suspect was taken into custody without incident. A firearm was located inside the vehicle. The suspect was charged accordingly.
