This group of young Webelo Scouts was so much fun to meet with, and I thoroughly enjoyed helping them meet one of their badge requirements.
I explained the county budget is like an allowance they get, except their parents pay the government the allowance and the county budget is made up of all of the allowance it receives, called taxes. One scout member supported this by sharing with his fellow scouts that if you own a house or really anything, you pay taxes. I was impressed!
I truly enjoyed helping young people understand how local government works. Great job scouts, and thank you Jason Adams for the invitation to attend!
