Fatal Motorcycle Crash - Glen Burnie

On October 12, 2025, at approximately 6:20 p.m., officers from the Eastern District responded to a motorcycle crash on westbound Hospital Drive near Mountain Ridge Court in Glen Burnie. Upon arrival, the Crash Reconstruction Team was requested due to the severity of the operator's injuries. A preliminary investigation revealed the motorcycle operator lost control approaching a curve, left the roadway, and struck a tree. The operator was transported to the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center and later died from his injuries. The Crash Investigation Team will continue to investigate this incident.

Handgun Violation - Glen Burnie

On October 10, 2025, at approximately 11:30 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a gray 2004 Buick in the area of Ritchie Highway and Furnace Branch Road East in Glen Burnie for a registration violation. During the stop, the officer observed and seized a loaded 9mm Taurus handgun found in the passenger compartment of the vehicle. The driver was arrested and charged.

Robbery - Crofton

On October 10, 2025, at approximately 12:40 p.m., officers responded to a robbery of a community member in the 1400 block of Knightsbridge Turn in Crofton. The 22-year-old male victim reported that he discovered a male removing copper wire from his truck. When the victim confronted the suspect, the suspect implied he had a firearm and threatened the victim. The suspect fled toward Jordan Avenue and Crofton Parkway in a white Dodge SUV. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect or vehicle. Western District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-6155.
