Child Sex Abuse Arrest - Millersville

On May 1, 2025, Anne Arundel County Police Officers from Eastern District responded to Elvaton Christian Academy in Millersville for a report of a sex offense complaint. Officers met with the mother of a student who reported inappropriate sexual behavior by a former teacher toward her child. While on scene, officers met with another parent who reported similar inappropriate sexual behavior towards her child.
Detectives from the Child and Vulnerable Adult Abuse Unit opened an investigation into the alleged abuse. Detectives learned that the suspect is the Pastor of Jessup Baptist Church in Jessup, Maryland, and was employed as a teacher by Elvaton Christian Academy from 2020 to 2025. Additionally, the suspect is affiliated with the global missionary organization Mission Fields International.
Throughout the investigation, additional interviews were conducted, and evidence was collected. At this time, five victims have been identified.
Detectives worked in conjunction with the Anne Arundel County State's Attorney’s Office, and an arrest warrant was issued for the suspect. Charges against the suspect include sexual abuse of a minor, sexual offense - fourth degree, and child abuse. On July 25, 2025, detectives from the Fugitive Apprehension Team arrested the suspect without incident.

On July 25, 2025, at approximately 4:15 a.m., an officer observed a vehicle that had fled a traffic stop on July 24, 2025, parked in the 700 block of Church Street in Brooklyn. The vehicle was occupied by a female passenger. As the officer approached the vehicle, the driver emerged from a store and, upon seeing the officer, immediately fled on foot. The officer apprehended the driver after a foot pursuit that led to the 4700 block of Virginia Avenue. The suspect had discarded several pieces of evidence during the pursuit, which were recovered. The items include approximately 74 grams of suspected crack Cocaine, 46 strips of suspected Suboxone, 8 glass smoking devices, and 99 red pop-top packaging material. The driver was arrested and charged
