Arrest of Anne Arundel County Volunteer Reserve Officer
On July 17, 2025, a volunteer with the Anne Arundel County Police Reserve Officer Unit was arrested by the United States Capitol Police and charged with threatening a federal official and related offenses. The Reserve Officer is identified as Mr. Seth Jason, who has served as a volunteer since 2016. Anne Arundel County Reserve Officers are unarmed and have no police authority. Mr. Jason is no longer affiliated with the Anne Arundel County Police Department.
