Shooting (Non-Contact) – Glen Burnie

On June 20, 2025, at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers responded to the 7700 block of Freetown Road in Glen Burnie for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers learned that a large pool party had been taking place when a fight broke out among several guests. During the altercation, an unknown suspect fired a single round into the air before fleeing the scene. A 9mm shell casing was recovered. Most attendees had already left before the officers’ arrival, and those remaining on the scene declined to provide information. The investigation is ongoing. Shooting (Contact) – Hanover

On June 20, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m., officers responded to the area of Arundel Mills Boulevard and Arundel Way in Hanover for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers located several vehicles that had been struck by gunfire. One individual, a 21-year-old female, sustained a non-life-threatening injury to her upper body. She was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The preliminary investigation suggests that gunfire was exchanged between two vehicles, with the uninvolved victim caught in the crossfire. The involved vehicles fled the area prior to police arrival. This is an active and ongoing investigation. Western District

Pedestrian Related Hit & Run Motor Vehicle Crash - Hanover

On June 21, 2025, at 2:04 a.m., officers responded to Dorsey Road and Aviation Boulevard for a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle. The preliminary investigation revealed that an unknown bronze colored vehicle traveling westbound on Dorsey Road near Aviation Boulevard (Route 170) struck a 22-year-old male who was walking in the westbound lanes of Dorsey Road. The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian failed to remain at the scene. The Crash Reconstruction Team responded and assumed responsibility for the investigation.

The Anne Arundel County Fire Department transported the pedestrian to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, where he remains in critical condition. Investigators with the Traffic Safety Section are seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect vehicle.
