The Military Service Award in honor of Candace C.W. Antwine was presented to three (two pictured) AACPS students who are enlisting in military service upon graduation. Each will receive a monetary gift to assist with their entrance into military service. Thank you to the members of the Anne Arundel County Board of Education for organizing this evening. I will happily continue to support this effort, and the young people who receive it. To ALL of our students who have chosen to serve, thank you and God bless you.
The Military Service Award in Honor of Candace C.W. Antwine, established in 2021, honors the dedication and service of Ms. Antwine, a Navy veteran and former member of the Anne Arundel County Board of Education. Throughout her life, Ms. Antwine was a passionate advocate for military families and children in need, tirelessly working to improve the lives of those around her. This award carries forward her legacy by supporting students who have committed to serving our country.
