On April 4, 2025, at approximately 6:05 a.m., officers from the Eastern District responded to a report of a possible overdose in the 1200 block of Lorene Court in Pasadena.

Upon arrival, officers observed evidence of narcotics at the scene and evidence of a possible assault. The victim, identified as 34-year-old Heather Elizabeth Beaver, was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. A short time later, the victim was pronounced deceased. Detectives from the Homicide Unit responded to the scene, assumed responsibility for the investigation, and executed a search warrant. Detectives conducted several interviews and collected items of evidentiary value. The victim’s body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore. After completing an autopsy, the cause of death was a result of blunt force trauma, with the manner of death being ruled a homicide.

This is an active and ongoing investigation.
