Implementation
The Maryland Governor’s Office for Children named the Anne Arundel County Partnership for Children, Youth and Families as the Brooklyn Park ENOUGH Initiative Community Quarterback in 2025, at which time the agency was awarded an ENOUGH Initiative planning grant. The focus of this grant was to complete a community driven planning process that began with a comprehensive needs assessment of Brooklyn Park and ended with the creation of a comprehensive Neighborhood Action Plan. This plan serves as the foundation for receiving ENOUGH implementation funding for FY26 and FY27. The Brooklyn Park Neighborhood Action Plan can be viewed here. The plan is driven by Brooklyn Park residents to ensure community choice and voice. It also involves county agencies, nonprofits, the faith community, and other stakeholders and centers community choice and voice.
Year 1 and now Year 2 of ENOUGH Initiative Implementation funds added $3.1 million dollars of programming in Brooklyn Park. Selected projects are listed in the presentation here. The program and strategies selected by residents of the Brooklyn Park Leadership Team were selected to reduce childhood poverty and improve economic mobility for families in the area.
The Brooklyn Park Leadership Team meets monthly to discuss progress, review the Neighborhood Action Plan, and consider new strategies based on need.
