Annapolis, MD - County Executive Steuart Pittman, Congresswoman Sarah Elfreth, and local conservation partners will host a press conference to announce the acquisition of 47 acres of environmentally sensitive land in the Saltworks Creek watershed.

The acquisition of the "Earl Family Preserve" and the "South Star" property creates a contiguous 277-acre block of protected forest. This project marks a significant victory for local conservation, permanently protecting land once proposed for a 76-townhome development and advancing the county’s "30 by 30" goal to preserve 30% of its land by 2030.
