FY26 Property Tax Bill Information

Message from County Executive Pittman

Dear Anne Arundel County Taxpayer,

Since becoming County Executive, I’ve worked with my staff to redesign the budget process around you. This year, we maintained that transparent and open process by hosting 8 Budget Town Halls – one in each Council District, and another in Spanish. Thousands of residents participated in the process by providing testimony online or at a town hall.

Dear Anne Arundel County Taxpayer,

I’m pleased to share that this year’s property tax rate in Anne Arundel County is slightly lower than last year’s. I know how important affordability is to families, especially as the cost of so many other essentials continue to rise.

We were able to lower the property tax rate and keep income tax rates steady because our county’s finances are on solid ground. We did this while continuing to invest in the things that matter most: public safety, our schools, parks, roads, infrastructure, and health and human services.

These investments are more important than ever, especially as the federal government steps back from funding many of the programs that support local communities. That’s why this year’s budget prioritizes initiatives that directly protect and support our residents.

Before introducing this year’s budget, I hosted eight in-person town halls – one in each County Council district and a final virtual event in Spanish. I listened carefully to what you had to say and did my best to reflect your priorities in the budget. While we can’t meet every request, I believe we made smart, responsible decisions to address our county’s most urgent needs. I hope you’ll agree.

There’s always more work to do, and I’ll keep listening. If you’d like to explore this year’s budget, which passed unanimously in the County Council, you can view every line of it at aacounty.org/yourbudget.

Thank you for your continued investment in this county we call home.

Sincerely,

Steuart Pittman - County Executive
