Part-time positions are available with the Child Care Division of the Department of Recreation and Parks. Applicants must be able to work weekdays. School-Age positions are AM and/or PM providing care before and after school. Preschool positions may be available anytime from 6:45 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Please call (410) 222-7856 for additional information.
- Minimum age - 18 years
- Education - High school diploma or GED
- Training/Experience - 800 hours under supervision primarily with school age children OR 600 hours experience + 15 clock hours of approved college coursework OR 400 hours experience + 3 semester hours of approved college coursework
- Additional Pre-Service Requirements - 9 clock hours in communicating with staff, parents & the public
- All Child Care Assistants are required to obtain Basics of Behavior Management, CPR and First Aid upon hire (provided by employer)
