Inspections and Permits

The Department of Inspections and Permits provides efficient plan review, permit processing, inspection of permits, complaint investigations, commercial license issuance, and inspection of private stormwater facilities.

New Permit Application Process

Effective December 1, 2025, all new permit applications, with the exception of apartment submissions and their associated trades, and revisions to existing paper applications will require online submission via the LUN System. For assistance with the LUN System, please view the  LUN System Help. To determine the appropriate permit record type, or to ascertain if a permit is required,  visit the "Do I Need A Permit". Should additional support be required, or to schedule an appointment to discuss an apartment project, please contact ipmailbox@aacounty.org.
