Anne Arundel County Announces Closure of County Buildings for Monday, January 26, 2026

Telework policies are in effect; emergency and essential employees will report to work at their usual times

Annapolis, MD (January 25, 2026) Due to inclement weather and to allow crews additional time to address storm impacts on roads, Anne Arundel County government buildings and offices will be closed to the public on Monday, January 26, 2026.

Telework policies are in effect and telework-eligible employees should work remotely. Emergency and essential employees must report for work at their usual times.

Curbside collection will not occur on Monday and will be collected on Tuesday. Tuesday collection will occur on Wednesday, weather permitting.

All libraries and senior activity centers will also be closed. Lunch will not be served at any senior activity center or congregate site. Senior Center Plus is canceled as well. Transportation to senior activity centers will not occur.

Residents are strongly advised to avoid travel, especially until the National Weather Service's winter storm warning expires at 4:00 AM on Monday, January 26. The County Executive’s declaration of a civil emergency ensures the county has the necessary resources to respond effectively to conditions throughout the duration of the storm.
