Kristy Alvarez is a results-driven public service leader serving as the Assistant Director of Community Engagement & Constituent Services (CECS) for Anne Arundel County. A trusted advisor to executive leadership, Kristy joined the administration in 2019, quickly proving indispensable as Executive Assistant to the Chief of Staff before advancing to senior leadership. Her career in public service is built on a strong entrepreneurial and non-profit foundation; in 2006, she founded a 501(c)(3) charitable organization pioneering Equine Assisted Learning and Psychotherapy programs, which she successfully merged with a local rescue in 2013. Serving as President and Executive Director, Kristy applied her strategic vision to transform the organization into a thriving, sustainable non-profit. Kristy excels at architecting operational systems, building high-performing teams, and executing strategic roadmaps that deliver meaningful results for the community.
