Anne Arundel County Public Works is responsible for treating and plowing over 6,700 County-maintained roads. When it snows, up to 350 employees and 75 pieces of snow-fighting equipment spring into action. In addition, over 200 pieces of additional contractor equipment can be mobilized as necessary. These resources are deployed according to their Travel Guide, which differentiates among the various road classifications.
