Recently, the Department of Public Works project team reviewed the semifinal recommendations that resulted from the Benfield Corridor Study, with area residents. These recommendations propose a shared use path on the north side and a sidewalk on the south side of Benfield Rd from the Evergreen Rd to Veterans Highway. Additional proposals are to add pedestrian islands and crosswalks in several locations, and to signalize the intersection of Benfield and West Benfield Rd.
