Maryland Transportation Authority to Host Chesapeake Bay Crossing Study: Tier 2 Nepa Open Houses in September

 

Public Invited to Attend Virtually or In-Person in Annapolis or Stevensville

 

We wanted you to be aware that the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) will host three Open House events in September for the Chesapeake Bay Crossing Study: Tier 2, as part of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process. The agency, in coordination with the Federal Highway Administration, is following the well-established and federally required NEPA process to study potential alternatives to provide congestion relief and improve travel reliability, mobility and safety across the Chesapeake Bay. The NEPA process applies to all projects receiving federal funding or approval.

 

The following are the dates and times for each Open House:

 

  • Anne Arundel County Open House

Thursday, September 7, 6-8 p.m.

The study team encourages the public to provide comments regarding the information and recommendations presented for the Open Houses by Monday, October 16. Comments may be submitted in multiple ways:
