Project Description

Development of Phase 1 of the new Environmental Education center at the Emory Waters Nature Preserve.  The first phase of the project includes cabins for camping, a bathhouse, pavilion and parking.

Project Updates

The Department of Public Works held a virtual Pre-Construction Public Information Meeting on February, 4, 2025. A copy of the presentation and an audio recording of that meeting are linked below.

  2026-07-01 

The Construction of the Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary Cabins, Bathhouse, Pavilion and Fire Pit was completed on June 30, 2026, and cabins will soon be open to the public for rental. The DRP, DFI and the project team received a Project Achievement Award  from the Baltimore Chapter of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA).
