Meeting Announcement

The Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works (DPW) would like to inform you about a Capital Improvement Project in your area. This project is part of the County’s ongoing efforts to maintain and improve critical infrastructure that supports safe, reliable and sustainable communities.

About the Project

A public meeting has been scheduled from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2026 at Rolling Knolls Elementary School to discuss plans to build a new park with indoor and outdoor sports fields, a playground, basketball court, about 200 parking spaces and restrooms. Sidewalks will also be constructed, along with stormwater management features, utilities and landscaping. The park will also serve as a rest spot for the South Shore Trail.

The park site is at 1202 Generals Highway in Crownsville, bounded by Route 178 to the north and east, I-97 to the west and residential communities to the south. Phase 1 of the project is tentatively scheduled to begin in fall 2027 and be completed in summer 2028. Phase 2 is tentatively set to begin in winter 2029 and be finished in winter 2030. Work hours would be 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. weekdays.
