Meeting Announcement
A public meeting has been scheduled from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at the Riviera Beach Library to discuss plans to reduce shoreline erosion at Fort Smallwood Park and provide habitat for aquatic species. This includes retrofitting two breakwater gaps, placing sand and adding reef balls.
About the Project
Parts of the park will be closed during construction, which is tentatively scheduled to begin in January 2027 and last for about six months. Work hours will be 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays.
