Diabetes Self-Management Program

This is a FREE 6-week in-person workshop designed for people who have been diagnosed with prediabetes, Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes, and /or their caregivers. 

About the Program 

In-person classes meet for 2.5 hours once a week. Each session builds on the last to help you learn the self-management tools of goal setting and creating action plans. 

Come learn about:

  • The complications of diabetes
  • Managing blood sugar with healthy eating and exercise
  • Dealing with stress
  • Improving communication with healthy care providers

Are you looking for skills to deal with the symptoms of diabetes, such as fatigue, pain, high or low blood sugar, stress, and emotional problems such as depression, anger, fear, and frustration?

Be your own health advocate in your medical care! This virtual workshop for Maryland residents can help you to do just that! This workshop is recommended for adults with Type 2 diabetes or prediabetes. The Diabetes Self-Management Program is designed to improve an individual’s A1C’s and reduce the complications associated with diabetes.

The class runs for 6 weeks at the same date and time.
