Annapolis, MD (April 10, 2026) - The Brooklyn Park Senior Activity Center, 202 Hammonds Lane, Brooklyn Park, MD, will reopen after a temporary closure to accommodate building renovations.
The senior activity center renovation prioritized accessibility and aesthetics and included the installation of ADA-compliant fixtures, updated flooring, and modern tiling. Beyond hardware upgrades like new countertops and sinks, the project included freshly painted walls and the integration of accessible restroom entryways.
The center will open at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, and operate as usual, providing regularly scheduled Senior Nutrition lunch program meals and engaging programs and activities. On Thursday, April 16, from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., center members can come enjoy live entertainment by the duo Island Breeze and refreshments.
