That’s a Wrap

The Nonprofit Center wrapped up its third Fundraising & Sustainability cohort in Spring 2025. And, it was the first formal program held in our new space at 41 Community Place!

The 5-week course met once a week on Wednesday evenings throughout April and May. The sessions included content relevant for all nonprofits looking to improve their fundraising efforts, with a focus on providing guidance for minority-led organizations and BIPOC leadership. And, all participating organizations received three hours of 1:1 consulting with the amazing Lili Leonard of Black Dog Philanthropic.

We had a wonderful group of participants, representing 12 local nonprofits, who were actively engaged and ready to learn. What did they say about the program? Great things. In fact, one hundred percent of respondents said:

  • the program delivered what was advertised,
  • the facilitator adapted content to meeting the needs of the organizations,
  • they now have more tools in their fundraising toolboxes, and
  • It was a good value for the money.

More importantly, we asked the group to share the one most valuable thing they learned from the cohort and how they intend to apply the information in the next 60 days. Here is what they said.

  • People give to people
