Student Artwork Brings Beauty and Warmth to the NPC

The Nonprofit Center has selected 20 pieces of artwork created by Anne Arundel County Public School students for display in one of the larger meeting rooms. The artwork, which represents Maryland, nature, wellness, and the outdoors, adds warmth and beauty to the space.

On Monday, September 29, 2025, County Executive Pittman joined the Nonprofit Center’s staff and the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County at a reception to recognize these talented student artists, from Pre-K to grade 12, along with their teachers and families.

“This room is my personal favorite,” Jennifer Purcell, shared with the group. “Every time I give a tour of the building, people compliment us on how warm and inviting the space is and are always amazed to hear that the artwork was created by students of almost every age. I’m very grateful for our partnership with AACPS and look forward to displaying new artwork every year.”
