Fundraising & Sustainability Cohort (Spring 2026)

NPC F&S Cohort Spring 2026

During this 5-session learning experience, participants will explore:

  • Diversification of Funds
  • Building a Case for Support
  • Prospect Research, Cultivation, and Solicitation; and
  • Finding Grants

Sessions will be held on Wednesdays from 6:00pm - 8:30pm at the Nonprofit Center in Crownsville, MD.

Dates:  February 25, March 11, March 25, April 8, April 22

Cost: $75.00 per organization

In addition to the five group sessions, each organization will receive up to 3 hours of 1:1 consultation with Lili Leonard of Black Dog Philanthropic. Consultation fees range from $150 to well over $300 per hour, so this is an extraordinary value.

Eligibility: As a local government-funded program, this cohort is open to 501(c)(3) nonprofits based in Anne Arundel County that serve primarily Anne Arundel County residents. We will prioritze nonprofits that have annual operating budgets less than $100,000. Organizations with larger budgets will be added to a waiting list and contacted if the cohort has unfilled seats.

Space is limited to 10 nonprofits.

Please complete the application form by Monday, February 9, 2026 to apply. Organizations that meet the criteria will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you have questions about the cohort, or other professional development opportunities, contact Amber Barnett at exbarn24@aacounty.org.
