General Info

The Plumbing Commission hears complaints with reference to violations of Article 1, Title 4, of the Anne Arundel County Code and any matter determined by the Director of Inspections and Permits to be relevant to the plumbing industry and advises the Director of its findings and recommendations. The Commission advises the County Council on the adoption of rules and regulations designed to govern the conduct of the plumbers, utility contractors, disposal system contractors, and scavengers. It advises the Director of Inspections and Permits on the issuance of utility contractors', disposal contractors', and scavengers' licenses, and, in connection with this function, ascertains by written and oral examination the qualifications and capabilities of persons who are or desire to be engaged in those trades. The Commission advises and assists the Director of Inspections and Permits in the adoption of rules and regulations, approval of materials, and interpretations of Title 4, and makes recommendations for revisions of this title.

The commission meets at 8:30 a.m. on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at the Heritage Office Complex , 2664 Riva Road, Annapolis, MD 21401.
