The Board of Elections is responsible for overseeing the conduct of all State and Federal Elections held in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

 
 

Notice Regarding the Coronavirus

Due to COVID-19 precautions, the Board of Elections Office is closed to the public until further notice. More updates will be posted in the coming days. If you need immediate assistance call 410-222-6600 or email us at [email protected].

On March 17, the Maryland State Board of Elections released a Press Statement about changes to the upcoming elections. For the latest updates, visit the Maryland State Board of Elections website.

How to Challenge a Ballot During Canvass

Board review of ballots will take place every day at 9 a.m.  The public may challenge a ballot during this time.  Announce the challenge using the chat option in the live stream. , complete and email the Challenge During Canvass Form (PDF) to [email protected] in PDF format. Once the Challenge During Canvass Form is received, the Board will take action on that Ballot.

Live-Stream of Canvass

The start of canvassing of the mail-in ballots has been delayed until Thursday, May 21, 2020 at 9 a.m. The canvassing process and ballot reviews will be available to view via daily live-streams.  

The live-stream will start on May 21, 2020 through June 12, 2020 excluding Sundays.

If you cannot vote or return the ballot you received in the mail, or you did not receive a ballot in the mail, you may go to a vote center and vote.
