Property owners may apply for a change of zoning for a property
Annapolis, Md (February 8, 2024) The Anne Arundel County Council introduced four bills on Monday, February 5, 2024 that officially begin the cyclical comprehensive zoning process for the County.
Bill No. 6-24 adopts the land use plan for Region Planning Area No. 2, an area that includes the west County communities of Jessup, Annapolis Junction, Laurel, Maryland City, parts of Hanover, and Ft. Meade. Bill No. 7-24 adopts the comprehensive zoning for Region 2.
Bill No. 8-24 adopts the land use plan for Region Planning Area No. 7, an area that includes the communities of Annapolis, Annapolis Neck, Parole, Bay Ridge, Highland Beach, and Riva. Bill No. 9-24 adopts the comprehensive zoning for Region 7.
Property owners may apply for a change of zoning for a property in Region 2 or Region 7 by submitting an application to the County Council. The application form for each region and other important information can be found at aacounty.org/county-council/council-zoning-app.
