County Executive Steuart Pittman, the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities, and the Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council will hold a celebration event to recognize Older Americans Month. Each May, we celebrate Older Americans Month (OAM) and this year’s theme is Powered By Connection. It is an opportunity to highlight and celebrate the many ways older adults can remain in and be involved with their communities. The theme for 2024 is Powered by Connection, which recognizes the profound impact that meaningful relationships and social connections have on our physical and mental health and well-being. The event will feature live entertainment, giveaways, a mental health exercise, speed friending activity, and a free lunch. Registration is required.
