Annapolis, MD (May 22, 2025) - On Thursday, June 5th, at 6:00 p.m., Kim Burton, Behavioral Health Consultant and Educator, will present "Brain Health, Mental Health, and Quality of Life for Caregivers." The quality of our lives and relationships are directly impacted by our mental health. Our mental health depends on the health of our brains and our minds. This program provides important and practical information, as well as resources to maximize good mental health and reduce caregiver stress. This workshop will be held at the Severn Senior Activity Center (1160 Reece Road, Severn, MD 21114). On Wednesday, June 11th, at 6:00 pm, an in-person Dementia LiveĀ® workshop will be held at the North County Office (7320 Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie, MD 21061). The Dementia LiveĀ® workshop is a high-impact dementia simulation experience that immerses participants into life with dementia, resulting in a deeper understanding of what it is like to live with cognitive impairment and sensory changes. These workshops are presented at no cost to the public through the National Family Caregiver Support Program of the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities.
