The Department of Aging and Disabilities Announces March 2024 Caregiver Educational Workshops

Annapolis, MD (February 26, 2024) - On Wednesday, March 6th at 6:30 p.m., Physical Therapist Ben Ogundipe will present “The Mechanics of Caregiving." Learn how to help your loved one with the activities of daily living without jeopardizing your own health, as Ben demonstrates injury prevention strategies related to caregiving duties. This workshop will be held at the Annapolis Senior Activity Center, 119 S. Villa Avenue, Annapolis. On Wednesday, March 20th at 6:30 pm, an in-person Dementia Live® workshop will be held at the North County/Hein Office Building (7320 Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie). The Dementia Live® workshop is a high-impact dementia simulation experience that immerses participants into life with dementia, resulting in a deeper understanding of what it is like to live with cognitive impairment and sensory changes. These workshops are presented at no cost to the public through the National Family Caregiver Support Program of the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities.
