Meeting Announcement
The Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works (DPW) would like to inform you about a Capital Improvement Project in your area. This project is part of the County’s ongoing efforts to maintain and improve critical infrastructure that supports safe, reliable and sustainable communities.
About the Project
The project involves constructing a mile-long shared-use path along the north side of Solley Road between Coulbourn Corner and Steens Hill Drive. The path would provide increased access to County facilities and Solley Elementary School, as well as connecting neighborhoods.
Construction, which is tentatively expected to begin in December 2027 and be completed in July 2028, will result in sidewalk and shoulder closures. Some driveways may also be affected and we will coordinate with residents to minimize impacts. Construction will include clearing, grading, sediment control, paving and concrete work. Water and wastewater service will not be impacted by the project.
Some water meters, sewer cleanouts and other utility facilities may need to be adjusted or relocated as part of the work, which could cause temporary service interruptions. If this happens, customers will be notified in advance.
