Please join Anne Arundel County DPW Bureau of Watershed Protection & Restoration (BWPR) for a Public Meeting to discuss the plans for the Chapelgate Stream Restoration project (Capital Project B556803).
To meet the requirements of the NPDES MS4 permit and improve the conditions for the Little Patuxent River, the reaches in the headwaters of Towsers Branch have been identified for stream restoration. The project proposes to restore approximately 4,300 linear feet of stream restoration in three (3) separate phases. The project is located in the vicinity of Chapelgate Drive in Odenton, MD. BWPR staff will present the goals and plans for the project.
In its existing condition, these tributaries are highly eroded and are a significant source of nutrient and sediment loads to the Little Patuxent River. The primary goals of this project are to provide valley restoration and floodplain reconnection in the Towsers Branch Watershed.
