Meeting Announcement

The Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works (DPW) would like to inform you about a Capital Improvement Project in your area. This project is part of the County’s ongoing efforts to maintain and improve critical infrastructure that supports safe, reliable and sustainable communities.

About the Project

A public meeting has been scheduled from 6:00 PM-7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 via Zoom to discuss plans to construct a new shared-use path along the east side of Marley Neck Boulevard from the northern end of the existing trail at the Creekside development to the sidewalk south of Tanyard Springs Lane.

The 10-foot-wide path would transition to an 8-foot-wide section where it crosses a culvert. Retaining walls are proposed in this area with curb, gutter and pavement replacement. The purpose of the project is to improve pedestrian and bicyclist connectivity along Marley Neck Boulevard.

The project is slated to start in late August 2026 and be finished by winter 2027. The northbound lane of Marley Neck Boulevard will be closed during construction. There will be traffic control devices to guide motorists through the area and provide a safe work zone.
