The Office of Information Technology's Help Center is seeking an IT Support Technician to join our team. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic IT environment.
What You'll Do
Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Providing technical assistance by answering calls on the Help Desk.
Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and systems.
Offering technical support for various computer platforms, applications, and operating systems.
Working with a team to ensure our internal customers receive high-quality service.
Handling additional duties as assigned to support the department's needs.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
A high school diploma or equivalent. Some college or prior job experience in a similar field is preferred.
A solid understanding of micro and personal computer hardware and software systems.
Experience with troubleshooting and system setup.
Knowledge of PC LAN systems is a plus.
The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
A valid driver's license.
A strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
The ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
Position Details
Salary: $15 - $22 per hour
