Curtis Jones is a veteran (Gunnery Sgt, USMC, Ret.). He served tours in Haiti and Bosnia and worked on the United Airlines Flight 93 crash site in rural Pennsylvania. He has received the Defense Meritorious Service Medal and many other awards. Curtis has also worked in security, communications and electronic warfare and has experience with the Combined Joint Task Force and the FBI. He is trained in Anti-Terrorism and Contingency Emergency Operations.

Since his retirement, Curtis helps veterans by volunteering with various organizations, such as the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Fleet Reserve Association, Disabled American Veterans, and the American Legion Cook-Pinkney Post 141. He is involved with the NAACP for Anne Arundel County, Veterans Affairs Commission for Anne Arundel County, the Chesapeake Veterans Alliance, and the National Veterans Intermediary.

Curtis is a native of Philadelphia. He is a husband, father, and grandfather. He resides in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.
