Deer Management Seasonal Closures - Wootons Landing Wetland Park
Wootons Landing Wetland Park will be closed for deer management on September 17, 22, and 30; October 6, 14, and 22; and November 5 and 12.

Park Rules
- The park is open sunrise to sunset.
- Pets must be under the control of their owners, on a leash at all times, and their waste must be disposed of properly.
- Vehicles are allowed in designated parking areas only and may not park overnight.
The following are PROHIBITED at the park:
- Alcoholic beverages.
- Off-road vehicles, dirt bikes, and similar types of vehicles.
- Weapons, hunting, fireworks, metal detecting, and littering.
- Interfering with, removing, or disturbing wildlife and natural resources.
- Storage of commercial vehicles/equipment.

- No swimming, camping, or trailers.
- No alcohol, fires, or overnight parking.
- All Trash must be taken with you or placed in trash receptacles, if available.
- Water access is easy.
- The put-in area to the Patuxent River is approximately 200-yards downhill from the parking area. The launch site is a small sandy spot that changes with the tide.
- The park is four miles north of Patuxent Wetlands Park. The winds are calm. The shoreline is mostly wooded prior to the wetlands. The wooded areas are home to many species of trees like willows, birch, ashes, black gum and sycamores. Mumichogs and killifish may be found in the water and waters edge. Many species are very similar to those found in the Patuxent Wetlands Park.
- A floating pier canoe/kayak launch is available. Citizens can drive down to the river, unload cartop boats and equipment, and park in the parking lot.

Located in southern Anne Arundel County, Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary protects over 1,700 acres of diverse ecosystems, including tidal marshes, forests, and meadows.
