Annapolis, MD – On Thursday, November 20, 2025 in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court, Timothy Lee Styles, age 57, of Annapolis, was found guilty by a jury of First-and Second-Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, and False Imprisonment in a domestic-related assault that took place at an Annapolis home in April 2025. Judge Robert Thompson scheduled sentencing for December 3, 2025.
Following the jury verdict, State’s Attorney Anne Colt Leitess commented: “This was a verbal argument that turned increasingly violent against the victim as she attempted to flee to safety. The Defendant threatened to kill the victim, held a knife to her neck, and strangled her to a point that she could not breathe. I am grateful to the jury, who heard the facts and agreed to the seriousness of this domestic attack.”
On April 11, 2025, officers with the Annapolis Police Department were dispatched to a home on Bates Street in Annapolis to investigate a domestic-related assault. During trial, the victim testified about the incident, wherein her ex-boyfriend, Timothy Lee Styles, cut her neck and arm with a knife, and also strangled her. The victim was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center for treatment of her injuries.
The State was represented by Assistant State’s Attorney Isabelle Ferraro on behalf of the citizens of Anne Arundel County. The investigation was led by the Annapolis Police Department.
