Originally from North Carolina, Dr. Baker-Tate now resides in Severn, MD with her husband, two teenage daughters, and her mother. Both daughters were born at Anne Arundel Medical Center, deepening her commitment to issues surrounding women’s reproductive health and access—particularly as both children are the result of IVF. She devotes much of her time to working with women and children who have experienced trauma, addiction, or systemic barriers to education. She also volunteers extensively in her community, supporting programs that help families navigate the financial aid process and gain equitable access to higher education.

Dr. Baker-Tate looks forward to continuing her advocacy for women’s issues—particularly those related to reproductive justice, education access, and trauma-informed community care—while lending her expertise to efforts that uplift and empower families across Anne Arundel County.
