Injuries or Deaths:  A 63-year-old male occupant was able to evacuate the home prior to the arrival of firefighters. Paramedics transported him with serious but not believed life-threatening symptoms of smoke inhalation to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center for possible treatment at the Center for Hyperbaric Medicine

Additional Information:  Firefighters responded to 9-1-1 calls reporting smoke and flames coming from the basement of the dwelling. Arriving firefighters extinguished a basement fire in a two-story end of group townhome in about 15 minutes. Four adults and three children have been displaced as a result of the fire.
