Anne Arundel County Fire Department to Break Ground on the New Cape St. Claire Fire Department - Station 19

The Anne Arundel County Fire Department, along with the Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works, County Executive Steuart Pittman, District 5 County Councilmember Amanda Fiedler, Cape St. Claire Volunteer Fire Company, residents, and stakeholders will break ground in celebration of the new county-owned Cape St. Claire Fire Department, Station 19.

The groundbreaking ceremony will take place on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 9:45 a.m., marking a significant investment in public safety and the Cape St. Claire community. The new facility will enhance emergency response capabilities and provide modern accommodations designed with the community and firefighter health and safety in mind. "This project highlights the county's commitment to strengthening Fire and EMS Services while preparing for future growth," Fire Chief Trisha Wolford said.

Members of the Cape St. Claire Volunteer Fire Company (CSCVFC) are proud to be part of this next chapter and look forward to continuing their longstanding tradition of service alongside our career personnel in the new station. CSCVFC President Randi Beavers said, "Under this roof, career and volunteer personnel come together, as we have for the last 70 years, with one mission: serving our community with dedication, professionalism, and pride".
