Dr. Siobhan Oma Nnorom is a physician and surgical researcher dedicated to advancing health equity, mentorship, and women’s leadership in medicine. She currently serves as a Research Associate at Howard University, where her work focuses on surgical outcomes, access to care, and health disparities across diverse populations. Dr. Nnorom has co-authored multiple studies using national datasets to examine how policy, socioeconomic status, and hospital systems affect surgical outcomes across the United States.
Dr. Nnorom earned her medical degree from All Saints University and completed 2 years of training in general surgery, where she developed a strong foundation in patient care and surgical education. Following her research tenure, she plans to return to surgical residency to continue her pursuit of a career in academic surgery, one that bridges clinical excellence, data-driven research, and mentorship for the next generation of physicians.
In addition to her academic work, Dr. Nnorom is the founder of The Cosmeceutical Lab, a digital platform that translates skincare science into accessible, evidence-based education for women. Through this initiative, she empowers her audience to make informed health and wellness decisions while fostering a greater appreciation for the science of skin.
As a Commissioner for Women in Anne Arundel County, Dr. Nnorom is passionate about promoting health literacy, mentorship, and opportunities for women in medicine and STEM. She is committed to amplifying voices that have been historically underrepresented in both healthcare and leadership spaces.
