How to Participate
Attendance in person is required, in order to sign for and receive your gift card. The Department will also offer eligible attendees the ability to purchase one (1) higher value Uber gift card at a 50% discount. Cards valued at $100 can be purchased for $50, and $150 cards can be purchased for $75. The event will be held from 10am-12pm at the Severn Center (1160 Reece Road, Severn, MD 21144).
Registering for the event does not guarantee that an attendee will receive a gift card. Individual registration is only required for those eligible attendees interested in receiving a gift card. Group registration is not allowed. The deadline to register for a gift card is October 14, 2026.
Uber Gift Card eligibility
In order to receive the gift card, you must be an Anne Arundel County resident aged 55(+) or an individual aged 18-54 with a disability. You must also attend the October 20th event and bring your Maryland State identification (ID) card or MD State driver's license with an Anne Arundel County address. If your ID shows an address outside of Anne Arundel County, please present your Change of Address Card from the MVA. If you are between 18 and 55 years old with a disability, you must bring a copy of your SSI/SSDI letter or Disability Verification form. Please bring your cell phone. After you receive your Uber gift card, staff will provide one-on-one instruction on downloading and using the app to schedule a ride and load the card. This will take approximately 5 to 10 minutes. If you need a password in order to download an app, be sure you know your password.
For faster and more convenient service, please complete the ETA Application Form early. You may complete the online form below before October 14th or you may complete and bring a completed form to the event on October 20th.
