Fire Flow Test Request Form

The Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works conducts fire flow tests for engineers, developers, and sprinkler design companies.

  • Each fire flow test costs $232.00, with the exception of government-related projects. You will be redirected to our payment processor after your form is submitted. 
  • Test results will be available within 3-4 weeks from the date of application receipt. However, during the winter months, testing may be delayed due to inclement weather. 
  • If possible, please submit a map of the test location with your request.

Is this a public or privately-owned fire hydrant?

Supporting Documentation

Please upload a map of the project location, including closest cross-streets and fire hydrants with hydrant numbers (if known). This map may be hand-drawn if necessary.


Additionally, for tests on private hydrants, please attach a permission letter from the entity that maintains the private system. Note that the County does not perform fire flow tests within "The Provinces" private community.
