County Executive Pittman will introduce the proposed budget on April 30th, in accordance with the county charter. The County Council then has 45 days to deliberate and pass a final, balanced budget. The County Executive is seeking input from the public to help shape county priorities. Once again a community town hall meeting will be held in each County Council District to discuss the upcoming budget in collaboration with each respective Councilmember, and to hear from members of the public.
Each meeting will feature opening remarks from the County Executive and the host Councilmember, followed by a brief budget presentation. Attendees will then be encouraged to pose questions and give comments on what they would like funded in the FY22 Budget.
This year, due to COVID, the budget town halls will be held virtually.
